ABOUT The People Helping People Network The People Helping People Network got started in October 1998. People Helping People is a network of volunteers dedicated to meeting the needs and improving the quality of life of Lee's Summit, MO residents. A computer databank was developed with information provided by each volunteer in what they felt they could contribute to improve the quality of life for someone else. A phone number is set up with a voice mail system that is accessed by a PHP office volunteer. If the call is for someone who wishes to volunteer, they are entered into the volunteer database. If the call is for help, it is retrieved, return call made and researched within the volunteer databank for a volunteer to match that need, and coordinated between the receipant and the volunteer. |

The large triangle pointing down represents the struggle of life for all people. Each corner circle represents a focus of PHP Network where the community of faith meets the struggles of life. Top left circle is one on one help with database and hotline. Top right circle is PHP Network community activities for support and learning. Bottom circle is PHP Network support for existing community programs. |

What are the needs the People Helping People Meet? It is PHP network's mission to help meet non-monetary needs for Lee's Summit, MO citizens. The most frequently requested services from Lee's Summit residents utilizing the PHP network are transportation, home repair, laundry and/or home cleaning, garden and lawn care, adult relief care and cooking. |
Who qualifies to receive help from People Helping People Network? Any Lee's Summit, MO resident who has a non-monetary need not being met by other social services. |
How do I get help? To access help from People Helping People network simply call 816-524-7172 and speak to a member of the office staff or leave a message for a return call. Efforts will be made to contact those calling for help with volunteers in the network who can meet their needs. |
